Rose City Con | Pre-show Commission List Open

Hey hey,

Andy and I will be at
Rose City Con in Portland, OR
 Sept. 8 - 10th
You can find us at tables A-06 + A-07

I'll have copies on comics I've either drawn or done covers for, such as SLAM!, Spider-Woman, Archie and some BOOM! titles, as well as a couple copies of The Wendy Project graphic novel out now via Papercutz.

I'll be doing some commissions there, but personally I think for the best quality you can order one  before the show and pick it up at my table.

There are 8 spots open on my pre-show commission list.

  • $50 - 1 character inked 9x12 Bristol board
  • $75 - 1 character full color 9x12 Bristol
  • $100 - 1 or more subjects full color 11x14 Bristol

The Wendy Project news

We got some nice news this week;

"The Wendy Project has been nominated for the Great Graphic Novels for Teens List from YALSA, to be published in February 2018"

I am just blown away by the lovely reviews we are getting, and the international publishers that have taken interest in it.  We'll be published in Czech, Polish, French, Spanish, and possibly more.

And thank you to NEWSARAMA for this incredible review (10 out of 10!!) Wow!

And thank you to SYFY Wire for the kind words, and COMIX BEAT as well, Pulse and everybody who took the time to review it; much appreciated.

We are going to be at ROSE CITY CON in a few weeks.  I'll have original art pages from Wendy for sale, copies of comics like Slam!, Spider-Woman and more that I've done covers for, as well as a commission list going.   Price list and more info coming next post.

Andy and I will be at tables A-06 and A-07

The Wendy Project x Papercutz

Hi friends,

Papercutz is releasing a graphic novel I did with Emet Comics a few years ago, "The Wendy Project" and it is packaged in a seriously gorgeous faux-sketchbook style complete with rounded corners.

The writer, Melissa Osborne, came up with the idea of making the comic look like 16 year old Wendy drew it in her sketchbook and the reader was looking at a kind of artifact.  It was fun to use a hodge podge of materials around the studio, like a teen would find randomly in a backpack.

I thought it would be easy to draw with ball point pens again like we did in high school, but it was actually really tough.  I'm so spoiled by the Undo key.

Hope you like it

Many thanks to Superfan, Emet Comics + the Papercutz Team
